Message from Erin: Last week we got the Queen of Swords, with her Sword of Justice, and this week we get the Wolf. I feel like there is a much bigger message emerging for us this month. It feels like there is a global call to action for all of us. We are being asked to stand up and be leaders.
While this may sound like a pretty big ask of us, if you really think about it, you’ve been called into action many times in your life. Sometimes you feel compelled to stand up for what you think it righteous. What do you think you are being asked to do right now?
For me, I think about a conversation that I had with my dad on the phone today. I told him I was sick and tired in all the conversations I’m hearing in the world right now. We, as a people, are being divided and conquered by politicians and the media. This whole Left vs. Right thing is getting way out of control. I’m just so done with it! We are being played! Most of what is happening is out of our control, so wouldn’t it better to focus on the things that are happening in our day to day lives? How do we take care of ourselves and each other?
So what am I going to do about it? NOTHING! Haha! I’m kidding. What I mean is that I’m going to do my best to stop engaging in the dialogue as much as I can, and try to change the narrative when I feel I have the opportunity to do so. It’s just too toxic for me. So, I also want to bring the light more to this darkness. I’ve been playing in the shadows too much these days. Also, there’s too much hating going on. This call out culture and outrage culture isn’t really creating positive change, it’s just causing more division from what I can see. People who are in opposition often aren’t verbally communicating in non-violent ways with each other. I just want to improve my relations with friends and family, and community. Check in with people and see if they are okay, see if they need help.
As the Wolf says: Embrace all and exclude none.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.
I love you,
Erin (and the Faeries)
