Faerie Card Reading for the Week of November 20 – 26, 2017

Card: Ten of Winter – from the Fairy Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.

“It’s time to walk (or run!) away. This situation no longer serves you and is merely holding you back. Sometimes endings are sad, and sometimes they’re a relief. Changes can be stressful and intimidating, but trust that this is a healthy and necessary one.”

Message from Erin: A few minutes before I pulled this card, I was having this overwhelming feeling of sadness and heartbreak. It was strange because it felt like it came out of nowhere. I felt like I was going to cry, but I had no idea why I was feeling that way. I think this card holds an answer for me: a part of me is dying, and I don’t want to let go. I’m scared if I let go of this fear I carry deep inside of me, that I will lose control and over my life and lose myself somehow. But these deep feelings and fears are no longer serving me. These fears are holding me back. I wonder if this card holds true for any of you…

Message from the Faeries: As winter approaches, the seasonal changes are going to be reflected outwardly and inwardly. As some creatures and plants are dying, so are parts of yourself. Don’t be afraid of death and changes, it’s all very natural and healthy.

Maybe some aspect of your life is in great need of change. Is it time to end a relationship? Is it time to move away? Is it time to quit your job? Maybe it’s something more profound. Maybe it’s time to change your way of thinking, or maybe it’s time to open your heart and mind to new possibilities. Whatever changes come your way, we hope you embrace them with ease and grace.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of January 9 – 15, 2017

Card: Ace of Winter – from the Fairy Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.

“This young fairy has great magic in her hands, but also the power of pure, crystalline thought floating above her head. Her companion represents the potential strength and courage she will grow into.”

Message from the Faeries: The card for this week is a continuation of our messages from last couple of weeks. The Ace of Winter, which is the same as the Ace of Swords, is most accurate card in the whole tarot deck that we could pick for you right now.

We want to think of yourself, or envision yourself, to be like the faerie in this card. You are starting the year with clarity of mind and the strength and wisdom that will carry you through this year. The faerie already has one foot forward and is ready to take on whatever comes her way. She is already in her place of power, and is calmly poised to face her journey.

Beside the faerie is a baby tiger, and the faerie herself is quite young. This represents the fact that they are at the beginning of a journey.  This is a new chapter in your life. Many things that you will see and do will be new to you, this year. Some of it will fun and exciting, other things you see might be a bit scary. Don’t ever be afraid though. You have all the wisdom and clarity to see through these situations for what they really are. With clarity comes peace of mind.

The most important piece of advice we could give you right now, and for the rest of this year, is that we highly recommend that you have a daily meditation practice if you don’t have one already. You should spend a minimum of 15 minutes a day doing prayer and meditation. Ideally you would do 30 minutes to an hour. 15 minutes will help you coast through the year, but and hour will have you get through it with barely a scratch.

Meditation and prayer will help not only you, but also those around you, and in the end it helps everyone. You will have a sharper mind, you will feel a lot more peaceful and calm, and you will feel much better all around. If you don’t know how to meditate, there are lots of resources out there for you to explore. Find what works best for you. You may also want to try a group medication practice in your area.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of July 4 – 6, 2016

Card: Four of Winter – from the Fairy Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.

“There’s great power in quieting your mind through meditation or taking a break. Solutions that previously eluded you because you overthought them can suddenly become crystal clear. If you’re facing a challenge at this time, take this card as your sign that you need to stop thinking about it for now. “

Message from the Faeries: It may seem a bit strange to see a Winter card appear in Summer, but sometimes we need a reminder from a different time. Winter teaches you to get lots of rest and to slow down. Summer is a time of high energy where everything passes by quickly. We urge you to slow down and savour the Summer instead of being so busy.

Sometimes when things move quickly, it’s easy to get caught up in drama or to get carried away when emotions run high. This is another reason to slow down. You will enjoy summer so much more if you take it easy. Rest and relax.

It is also very important that you spend a lot of time outdoors. Go for a meandering walk through a forest, or take a leisurely walk on the beach. Take a nap outdoors if you can. Go camping and sleep under the stars. The fresh air and nature will help relax you and heal you. Being in nature is a balm for the soul.

Summer is a time to bask in the glory of nature and enjoy all that it has to offer. Think of all the fruit and berries that are sitting in the sun, getting ripe. Imagine yourself to be like this fruit, getting sweet and juicy, just right for the picking. The fruit just hangs there and lets the sun do it’s job. The sun nurtures and gives you energy. So, recharge those batteries this week and take it easy.

We love you.

Faerie Card Reading for July 13 – 19, 2015

Card: King of Winter from The Victorian Fairy Tarot  by Lunaea Weatherstone.

“This card can be used to represent a man of mature years who is in a position of authority and power: the boss, the politician, the military man, the stern father. He can be a wise leader, but he does not share power well. If you are going to argue with him, have your facts in order. If this card does not represent a particular person, it can mean a need for cool and detached strategizing in challenging times. If you must do battle for a cause, assemble your allies and determine calmly how to proceed. Use your wits before you take action.

In a nutshell: logic, discipline, emotional detachment, choosing your battles wisely”

Message from the Faeries: How very strange for the King of Winter to show up in middle of summer! Actually, it’s not really. Even though he represents Winter, all the faeries enjoy visit each other’s lands and realms. This King has decided to pay you a visit right now because he has an important message for you.

The King of Winter is a very serious fairy. He is very cunning and logical. If you wanted a deep, warm hug, you would most likely not pay a visit to this guy. He is all about the mind and he uses it like a very sharp and precise tool. He’s here this week to warn you to be smart.

We always tell you to follow your heart, and we will always tell that, but we don’t always tell you to use your mind. This week there are some things that will come up that will require you to be straight and on point. This isn’t a time to be mushy or wishy-washy. You need to be precise and maybe even a little cunning.

This week, don’t be afraid to be a little sharp, if that’s what it takes to to get you where you need to be. Being solely in your emotional body will not take you there. Your logic and intelligent mind are a very important aspect of your being and who you are. It’s time to let that part of yourself be the leader and take you to the places you want to go. Don’t forget to enjoy the ride!

We love you.

The Faeries

Note from Erin: The Winter suit in this tarot deck is the same as the Swords or Air.

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of December 1st – 7th, 2014

Card: XIX The Sun – from the Circle of Life Tarot by Maria Distefano

The Sun

“True strength is that which endures. A smouldering fire heats more than a blinding flash”

Erin: I was very strongly guided to use this deck today. When I picked it up and sat down to do today’s reading, I was given very specific instructions on how to shuffle the deck. I am often given strong guidance for the weekly readings, but today’s guidance felt particularly powerful. The Faeries really really wanted us to see this card today. Looking at the words that come with the card, I think I have heard a similar expression before in terms of love and relationships: “Better to have a slow burn than a quick flash.”

This morning I took a long time to get ready for the gym. I got myself all dressed up and I was ready to go, when all of a sudden I stared outside and said: “Nope! I am going out for a walk in the sun!”  I got changed into winter clothes and headed to the park for a wonderful walk along the water. I live in Vancouver and it rains a lot in this city, especially in the winter months, so I had to take full advantage of sun rays while they were out. I find the energy I get from the sun to be quite invigorating. I can literally feel the rays hit my heart and I feel myself melting. The sun is so important, it’s amazing what this beautiful star does for us. It’s quite astounding when you really think about it. Thank you, Sun, for all that you give to us. We are truly blessed!

Message from The Faeries: For some of you, with the changing of the seasons, the days are getting shorter and shorter. This means that you are not getting as much sunlight as you do the rest of the year, especially the summer. It is so important that you make the effort to go outside when there is daylight, and especially when the Sun is out. If you don’t feel safe in the Sun, be sure to wear a hat and some sunglasses, but please do go outside every day. It is the little things like this that will improve your lifestyle. Wherever it is that you live in the world, one thing is for certain, you need the Sun.

Isn’t it just wonderful to find a place in your home that has a sunny spot and take a nap in it like a cat?! Animals and people do this, not just because of the warmth of the sunlight, but because the Sun is actually sending you rays of energy. The Sun is giving you vital life force energy. See how the woman in the card is standing? She is standing in a powerful stance, holding four wands that represent how powerful she is. This is the power of the Sun. We recommend that you take full advantage of it! Like with all things though, we also suggest that you use moderation. When you feel like you have had enough Sun, listen to yourself and seek shelter. Sometimes the Sun is too powerful!

All we ask of you for this week is to go out and get some Sun. It will work magical wonders for you in your life. Don’t make up excuses to not go outside. Get out there and let the Sun charge your batteries.

We love you,

The Faeries
