Card: Stingray – from The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit cards by Kim Krans.
“The stingray card represents a pivotal point in personal growth. The moment has come when the stingray must decide between the old (easy, comfortable, and familiar) and the new (challenging, uncomfortable, and unfamiliar)…No matter what choice is made now, it’s inevitable that this dilemma will surface again and again, as the force of dharma growing within the stingray is too strong to ignore.”
Message from the Faeries: Stingrays are so beautiful and graceful, as they glide through the ocean waters. They also can be quite dangerous with the poisonous sting of their tails. As you navigate through the waters of life, be strong and graceful like the stingray.
This week you my find yourself making some very important life decisions. You won’t necessarily be taking immediate action, but your future plans are laid out by you, as you feel a burst of strength and determination.
No matter how are you try please your friends, partners and family, sometimes the decisions you make may upset or hurt them. It doesn’t matter how much grace and dignity you evoke, the result would be the same: someone won’t be happy with your plans. Like the stingray, you might not want to harm, but it can happen regardless. You know that it really is impossible to make everyone happy. While you can do your best to make amends and accommodate other people’s needs, sometimes you have no choice but to follow your heart and do what’s best for you.
We love you,
Card: XIV Grace – from The Mystical Cats Tarot by Lunaea Weatherstone.
“Find that place of inner harmony that allows you to move through any challenge with poise and grace. If you find yourself knocked off balance, assess what is needed to steady yourself again. Your ability to adapt to changing circumstances will make you sure-footed even in the most tempestuous of times. Seek tranquility.”
Message from the Faeries: When you look back at stressful events in your life, do you look back at yourself with pride or do you look back filled with regret with way in which you handled yourself? Those moments of regret are moments of measure. Were you respectful? Did you handle yourself with grace? Were you dignified in your actions and behaviour?
It is likely those moments that you look back in pride, that you handled yourself well under pressure. Grace is a quality that so very few people are born endowed with. It is a quality that is honed and refined with life experience. Those stressful moments you handled poorly were the teachable moments that have allowed you to refine yourself.
One way in which you learn to maintain grace and dignity, is to come to the understanding that there is no point in sweating the small stuff. Another important lesson is learning the temporal nature of existence. Most importantly, it is accepting that you can’t control how other people carry themselves, but you can take responsibility for the way you carry yourself and how react under various circumstances.
Of course, you can’t always control how you may react under adversity. However, once you’ve become determined to move through life with some quality of grace, you can observe yourself maneuvering through the world and hold yourself with a bit of pride. As far as we are concerned, there is no shame in having pride in oneself.
We love you and we are proud of you.
Card: 62 – The Glanconer – from The Faeries’ Oracle by Brian Froud and Jessica MacBeth.
“It is no good to make decisions when blinded by lust. Whether it is lust for a person, a thing, or an idea, we need to pause take our time before making actual commitments. We need to read the fine print, check out the foundations, get a mechanic to test the so-beautiful secondhand car.”
Message from Erin: I looked at the faerie in this card and said to him “You’re a bit of bastard, aren’t you?” He laughed delightedly, and then he said “All that glitters is not gold”, and then he stood there smirking like the bastard that he is. Of course, for a moment I felt bad for calling him a bastard, cuz that’s just how I am, but then I felt okay about it because I’m still discovering how important it is for me to trust my instincts and tell it like I see it.
I thought of all the moments in my life where I met someone and had that bad feeling my gut that told me not to trust someone, but I ignored that intuition because I didn’t believe in myself and I was so wanting to believe in that person because they were so charming and beautiful. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done this in my life. Just, too many, haha.
And that’s just how it, isn’t it? Sometimes we just want to believe in someone or something so badly that we aren’t wanting to see the truth behind it. We ignore our instincts and we are blind to what’s really happening. Let’s forgive ourselves for those moments in our lives and put them behind us, and let us vow to believe in ourselves and trust our intuition.
I love you,
Erin (and the Faeries who are always here in spirit.
Card: Ten of Swords – from the Shadowscapes Tarot by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law and Barbara Moore.
“The Ten of Swords represents misfortune, desolation, burdens to bear, ruin, the end of delusions. It feels like circumstances have instigated a spiraling and uncontrolled plunge. Sometimes circumstances are beyond human control. Sometimes there is nothing to do but ride it out and pick up the pieces when things finally come to a halt, and learn from the mishaps.”
Message from the Faeries: This Card might come across as a bit scary, especially after reading the description, but we are actually feeling pretty good about the appearance of this card this week.
This card is about something not working out the way you had hoped it would. Maybe a plan is going to fall through, or someone will let you down, or maybe a situation will take a bad turn. The thing is, even when thing don’t go your way, it’s happening for a reason that you just can’t see right now. Yeah, it sucks that you didn’t get the immediate outcome you had hope for. Of course you might be bummed out and feel let down, but take heart in knowing that this is all just a part of the journey.
Don’t hold on to these moments that you might think are so bad. When you hold on to the feelings of disappointment it can lead to feelings of bitterness or anger. When you come from that place it will only lead to further feelings of betrayal and disillusionment, and that can cause you to spiral out.
February can be a challenging month for many people. Winter feels like it is dragging on. The weather can become and obstacle, and mental health is hard to maintain. So, don’t let a bump on the road of your journey get you down right now. Just pick yourself up, hold your head high and keep moving forward. There are still so many good things to come.
We love you.
Card: The Queen of Wands – from The Fountain Tarot by Jonathan Saiz.
“The Queen of Wands is never low on energy, warmth, or generosity. Her playful enthusiasm usually makes her the center of attention at any gathering. Some people find her intimidating, but to most, she is an inspiration. Despite all of the recognition, she is fiercely independent, guided almost solely by instinct. She is in love with life, and her feisty sound will ensure that any task is completed. She will not accept repayment for her gifts; her reward is watching others learn and grow.”
Message from the Faeries: We hope you find inspiration from the Queen of Wands this week. She is quite a remarkable person. Look at her glowing and twirling in joy. Why is she is full of life and light?! It’s because she believes in herself. She believes in her intuition. She believes in magic.
In case you forgot, you are quite a remarkable person as well. You are full of magic and you have the intuition that will guide you to the places you need to be, to the people you need to meet, and to dream up the dreams that will inspire others. You have everything it takes to weave amazing things into your life. You are creative and have so many valuable ideas.
We hope you see yourself in the card we chose for you this week. We you hope you recognize your abilities and can feel excited about all the possibilities that are being presented to you at this time. It is time for you to wield your magic wand and create greatness in your life and inspire those around you. You can be a beacon of light and hope to friends and family. We believe in you, and we hope you do too.
We love you,
Card: Freedom – from the Healing with the Angels Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue.
“The angels guide you to freely express your true thoughts and feelings with love.”
Message from the Faeries: Last week we spoke about the importance of being balanced in all aspects of your life. Finding balance will help you to cope with the significant changes that will be happening in your life. This week we want to talk to you about Freedom.
Freedom is a very interesting topic for us. We believe that everyone is free and has the ability to choose to do however they wish. However, your reality is not the same as ours. We have observed that you do not have the free will that we believe that you have. You have many limitations in your life. Limitations that make you unable to be truly free.
We don’t want to go too in depth on the topic of Freedom at the moment, but we what we would like to offer to you is one particular observation: you censor and stifle yourself a lot all time. You hold yourself back, which is a way of denying yourself Freedom, when you don’t express your feelings and emotions, which leads to your own suffering.
There are many reasons that you hold yourself back: you don’t want to hurt other people; you don’t feel safe expressing emotions; you worry about what other people might say or think. These are all valid fears, but we want to encourage you to be a bit more brave. Try expressing yourself a little more. The secret is to move past fear and come from a place of love. The fear is what is the real block. Love is the only way to get to that place to feel safe to express yourself, because when you are in a place of love you are then free to be open and true.
The heart is what will heal anything.
We love you,
Card: Four of Crystals – Logic – from the Voyager Tarot by James Wanless, Ph.D.
“Your logic is sharpened by being in a state of emotional and physical balance. By recognizing that all phenomena in the universe have an order, you can better establish your own sense of order, harmony, and proportion.”
Message from the Faeries: Welcome to 2018! Are you excited for the New Year?! Are you ready to start this new chapter in your life?! Are you ready for some fun?!We are very excited for you right now. 2018 is looking to be a high energy year where things will be moving rather quickly. Be prepared to go on some fun little adventures this year.
On top of the hustle and bustle of 2018, you will also begin to have a much deeper understanding of the world you live in, and your role as a global citizen. If you thought the veils dropped in 2017, you haven’t seen anything yet. The truth can be a rather scary thing sometimes, but we guarantee to you this time of “enlightenment” is going to be very worth the journey. You will feel more centred and grounded if you allow yourself to accept the truth of the reality you live in.
So, for the beginning of the New Year, we recommend you come up with a plan of how you are going to take care of yourself this year. Your Self Care Plan will assist you in keeping yourself in balance. If you are balanced physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally (the four crystals in the card) you will move through 2018 with ease and grace. A Self Care Plan involves ensuring you are: meeting your physical needs with proper diet, exercise and rest; meeting your mental needs by avoiding too much useless information and nurturing your mind with topics that genuinely interest you; meeting your spiritual needs through whatever means you need to connect to your higher self, be it through prayer or meditation – whatever works for you; meeting your emotional needs by allowing yourself to express your emotions and by taking responsibility for your feelings, with honesty, gentleness and integrity.
If you are in a place of balance and are well grounded, whatever 2018 reveals to you will be very manageable and easy to cope with. You won’t be phased by anything because you will see things clearly and know where you stand in the grand scheme of things. You know who you are, how you got here, and where you are going.
Happy New Year!
We love you,
Card: Ocean – Ebb and Flow – from the Earth Magic Oracle Cards by Steven D. Farmer.
“You have been fighting the ebb and flow of your own feelings – denying your hurt, anger, or sorrow – by either attaching yourself to one or the other and nurturing it as if it were a nursing child, or else smoothing over your feelings with more practiced responses that deny and hide what is going on beneath the surface of your expression. When you attempt to constrict yourself from experiencing your emotions, it is much like trying to stem the tides that grow even more forceful with every attempt humans make to control them. Allow yourself to swim with these variations rather than resisting them. “
Message from the Faeries: During the holiday season, many of you find yourselves in stressful social situations. Being around your family can sometimes emotionally draining. Relationships with parents, children, grandparents, brothers or sisters are very complex. They know you in ways that no one else does, and they tend to push all the right (wrong) buttons. Sometimes it’s so intense that everyone in the family feels triggered at the same time. It’s difficult to be vulnerable with people who are on the defensive.
Parties with friends can also be challenging. Sometimes someone unintentionally (or intentionally) says something to get an emotional reaction. You can also be feeling shy if you are around people you don’t really know. Parties can be fun, but they can also be a minefield emotionally for some people.
This holiday, we urge you to try and go with the flow with your emotions. If you are feeling sad – maybe because you are missing a loved one – then it’s okay to be sad. Allowing yourself to feel the sadness will allow it to pass. You won’t feel sad forever, but it’s perfectly alright to be sad in a moment. Who knows, maybe showing your sadness might get some hugs and love and support. If you find yourself angry with someone, instead of holding on to that anger, wouldn’t it feel better to tell them how you are feeling and move on?
You have an emotional body that you can’t escape from. It has its highs and its lows. That’s just the way of it. Instead of fighting it, try embracing it. You might inspire your family and friends to do the same.
We love you,
(And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from me, Erin xo)
Card: 4 The Emperor – from the Fairy Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.
“Any dream needs love and passion to grow but it also takes careful thinking and good leadership. Staying organized, with a methodical plan, can be important to fulfilling your life purpose. It’s very easy to get caught up in the excitement of your dreams and then forget the important details. Preparation at the beginning will save you a great deal of time that you can use to bring your plans to life. ”
Message from the Faeries: As this year is coming to an end, it is time to start planning for 2018. Most of you already have a pretty good idea as to what you would like to accomplish next year. Your dreams, goals and aspirations are stirring inside of you, eager to jump out and come to life.
It is so great to see you dreaming big. We are very excited for you. The next two weeks are often a time of relaxing and celebrating, and we hope you do lots of both. We would also strongly recommend that you put some time aside to write up a plan for 2018. It’s good to make up a list of things you wood like to do, but it’s even better to come up with a rough plan as to how you hope to achieve your goals. Of course, plans tend to change and evolve or change over time, and it is always good to be flexible, but it’s still a good idea to start from somewhere.
The Emperor knows that in order to be a great leader, you have to be willing to go the extra mile. You have to be will to take chances, be bold, have courage, be strong and have faith. It’s important to be a dreamer, have creativity and to use your imagination. One of the other important things you need is to have a direction. Where are you going, and how are you going to get there? Find the answers within and put them into action. What do you need to do to get to where you want to go? It’s time for plotting and planning.
We love you,
Card: Four of Earth – from the Angel Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine.
“Your hard work is paying off, but stay alert to new possibilities. Change is inevitable and can bring newfound sources of abundance. Be open to new and exciting opportunities. Don’t let fear-based thoughts limit your actions.”
Message from the Faeries: The dark haired faerie on this card is looking very reluctant. She has a basket full of coins, but she’s feeling unsure if she can afford to give any of her abundance away. She isn’t feeling totally secure in this moment. The smaller faerie looking up to her is trying to reassure her that everything is going to be okay. It’s okay for her to let go of her coins.
People who are misers are living in a place of fear. They aren’t just afraid of losing all their money and possessions, they are also so afraid of losing everything that they have forgotten how to really live. It’s sad, but they are afraid to die and they don’t know what it means to feel fully alive.
You have so much abundance in your life, and you have so much to live for. If you are feeling a little of afraid to give or be generous right now, please be assured that you are already taken care of, and it’s okay to share. Giving is one of the greatest feelings in the world and it opens you up to receiving. Giving doesn’t mean a depletion of resources. Giving is a way to express your trust in yourself and other human beings.
We love you,
