Faerie Card Reading for the Week of August 21 – 27, 2017

Card: Nine of Worlds – from the Voyager Tarot by James Wanless, Ph.D.

“Harvest completions provide you the material wherewithal and insurance – like nuts gathered by the squirrel – for inactive periods and winters of austerity. Think ahead.

Unfinished projects and incomplete affairs are like fallen fruit that putrefies stagnates. This garbage holds you back from moving forward into the springs of new beginnings.”

Message from the Faeries: As you can see in this cards the planets, the Sun and the Moon are going to have a huge impact on the goings on in the world and your life right now. There is some powerful celestial activity that’s going to herald in some big changes for you on both a microcosmic and a macrocosmic level.

The eclipse and New Moon at the start of the week are the catalyst for the big changes coming your way. To make this transitional time in your life go smoother, it would be a really great idea for you to spend some time at the beginning of the week in contemplation and reflection. What are the blocks in your life at the moment? What do you need to let go of? What is no longer serving you? It’s time to let go. Do it now.

The next month or so is going to be really intense. You are going to see and hear some pretty wild and crazy things – some good and some bad – and it’s important for you to stay focused. Stay focused on being positive. Keep your head held up high. Keep your heart open. Keep an open mind. There are going to be some surprises along the way. The best attitude to cultivate at this time is to be optimistic and easy going. If you fight the changes that are coming, you will most certainly have a difficult time. It’s important to go with the flow.
The Harvest is coming. Autumn is coming and you will soon start to feel it in your bones. Change is coming, so enjoy this amazing time of transformation. You’ll be truly amazed at where you find yourself in the next few months. We are very excited and we hope you are too.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of September 19 – 25, 2016

Card: 8 of Disks – from the Tarot of the Holy Light.

“Inspired invention, fine craftsmanship, in a class of your own, reputation. Results from long experience.”

Message from the Faeries: This is a very promising week for most of you. This card represents the balance – the four suns and four moons – that you’ve achieved at this time and there should be a harmonious energy.

If you’ve had any important projects or plans put on hold, this will be the perfect week to put a lot of work into them. It’s a good time to get any work done. You’ll find success in your endeavours. Even if you don’t reap the benefits immediately, you will have your reward soon enough.

We hope that you carry with you, at this time, a lot of hope and a sense of well-being. Perhaps if there isn’t any external work that needs to be done right now, maybe it’s time to work on something happening internally. Is there something happening for you emotionally or mentally right now? Are you holding yourself back or feeling stuck? This is the perfect week to do the work. You will find that you will achieve a lot in a short period of time.

The suns and moons in the card are a reminder of the natural cycles that are also happening. The waning of the moon. The changing of the season. This week has a lot of transformative energies. You may feel yourself having to work through some issues, but be rest assured that the hard work is going to pay off in a big way. You are shifting with the seasons and time, and getting ready for bigger changes that are coming your way. It’s best to start off the next cycle/season, on the right foot.

We love you.

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of March 14 – 20, 2016

Card: Princess of Wands – from The Enchanted Tarot by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber.

“An opportunity may be coming your way. You must balance your need to be rash and impetuous with the necessity of acting in a mature, steady manner. Wild at times and easily fired up, the Princess of Wands awakens us to the enthusiastic and spontaneous side of life.”

Message from The Faeries: It’s time to tap into your fiery side! Time to let your inner spark to light a flame within. No more sleepy slumbers of the winter. Spring is almost upon you, and so it is time to come out of hibernation.

Let the Princess of Wands inspire you this week.  She’s a very energetic young woman who is full of passion and life. Always on the go, she doesn’t let anything stop her. Sometimes, of course, her fiery personality can get herself into trouble, but her enthusiasm can not be beat. She is often able to demonstrate to others that despite her exuberance, she has the best of intentions.

Pay no mind to what others think: This week isn’t about anyone else but you. Your energies have been lower than usual lately, and this week that is all going to shift. You have to do some of the work though. Be sure to get lots of fresh air and try to exercise a little bit. Go for short walks and move your body. Like the tree that’s been asleep all winter, it’s now time to get all your sap flowing. Soon you will blossom into your vibrant summer-self.

If you find yourself in the sunshine, bask in all of the Sun’s glory. Let the rays flow into you to help your inner fire to grow and give you life energy. We also recommend that you listen to some of your favourite music and let it inspire you to move. Get your blood moving.

Burn, baby, burn.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of September 14 – 20, 2015

Card: Four of Cups – from the Tarot of the Holy Light by Christine Payne-Towler.

“The Four of Cups is associated with a restless period, dissatisfied with life. One becomes emotionally uncomfortable with friends and family, habits and routines. Stagnant and longing for change, the heart is questioning its options, sometimes to the point of cultivating cravings for distraction and oblivion. A full trance of alienation pulls like undertow; the emotional waters are not safe and predictable anymore. Symptoms include loss of motivation, fitful meandering among the inessentials, failure to find pleasure in one’s traditional attractions, toxic and self-polluting habits, and vague presentiment that something is not quite right.”

Message from the Faeries: This New Moon has caused a bit of a ruckus. If you are feeling like your feathers are bit ruffled, it’s because this New Moon has forced you to face the facts there are a few things in your life that you just aren’t happy with right now. It could be anything from your job, a friendship or where you live. Whatever it is that bothering you, the bee in your bonnet just won’t stop buzzing.

The current celestial events have created a wave of energy where you desire change or something new. Like the cups being bounced around by the waves in this card, you feel yourself being jossled about emotionally. Your boat is being rocked, and you want to head for calmer waters.

Do not be afraid. This is just a temporary feeling. In fact, you are being presented with a tremendous opportunity to create the changes you desire. You can use these energies that are causing the waves to propel towards that which you desire.

Fortune, which is represented by The Sun on this card, is shining upon you. Don’t fight the currents you are tangled up in, but rather go with the flow of it and they will take you to your desired destination. You will soon leave behind all the things in your life that are no longer serving you. Who said the journey would be an easy one?

Try to enjoy the ride.

We love you!

Grump Grump Grump

grumpy

I don’t know about anyone else, but lately I have have been feeling GRUMPY. Grumpy as all hell. I grump over here, grump over there, and grump grump grump. I go to bed grumpy….I wake up happy, but I go to bed grumpy. I feel good when I wake up…it’s the moment I leave my apartment and have to deal with people that grump starts to set in. Right now, for me, people are exhausting. Not everyone..there are a few exceptions, but overall I just do not want to play well with others. I think I need to be sent to the time-out corner for a while.

I asked The Faeries why I am so grumpy and they tell me it’s because I am not spending enough time in the day doing the things that I enjoy doing. I do things – like go to work and even go to the gym – out of a sense of obligation and not because I enjoy doing these things. I am finding it so very challenging to find a balance between all of these things. I go to work and start feeling grumpy and then I feel too tired when I come home to do the things that I enjoy, so I plunk myself down in front of the tv and zone out for a couple of hours. I just want to numb myself with tv and food. I wake up, go to the gym, putter around and sometimes do enjoyable things, but overall I am not making it happen.

What can I do to ungrump myself? The Faeries are saying that it’s quite alright to be grumpy sometimes and that I need to just be sure to have my alone time every day. Also, they are saying there is a cycle and rhythm to life and that it’s part of my cycle to be more hermit like right now – I’ve thought about it and this is true. Soon the weather will get warmer and the sun will be out more often and I will feel like being outside and socializing. It’s okay to take a social time out, but I should be more diligent about spending my off work time doing joy related things. Things that make me happy. I’m working on it.

So I am going to just ride this time out. I know it won’t last forever. Don’t worry, I am not likely to grump at you. It’s all kept on the down-low. I vent it out when I jog or go to the gym. Besides, you will probably feel a natural inclination to walk around me, haha. It’s good to be yourself, even if you are feeling grumpy. I don’t hide it, but I also don’t try to make other people grumpy too. I’m owning my grumpy-self. So don’t mind me while I grump away.

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of December 1st – 7th, 2014

Card: XIX The Sun – from the Circle of Life Tarot by Maria Distefano

The Sun

“True strength is that which endures. A smouldering fire heats more than a blinding flash”

Erin: I was very strongly guided to use this deck today. When I picked it up and sat down to do today’s reading, I was given very specific instructions on how to shuffle the deck. I am often given strong guidance for the weekly readings, but today’s guidance felt particularly powerful. The Faeries really really wanted us to see this card today. Looking at the words that come with the card, I think I have heard a similar expression before in terms of love and relationships: “Better to have a slow burn than a quick flash.”

This morning I took a long time to get ready for the gym. I got myself all dressed up and I was ready to go, when all of a sudden I stared outside and said: “Nope! I am going out for a walk in the sun!”  I got changed into winter clothes and headed to the park for a wonderful walk along the water. I live in Vancouver and it rains a lot in this city, especially in the winter months, so I had to take full advantage of sun rays while they were out. I find the energy I get from the sun to be quite invigorating. I can literally feel the rays hit my heart and I feel myself melting. The sun is so important, it’s amazing what this beautiful star does for us. It’s quite astounding when you really think about it. Thank you, Sun, for all that you give to us. We are truly blessed!

Message from The Faeries: For some of you, with the changing of the seasons, the days are getting shorter and shorter. This means that you are not getting as much sunlight as you do the rest of the year, especially the summer. It is so important that you make the effort to go outside when there is daylight, and especially when the Sun is out. If you don’t feel safe in the Sun, be sure to wear a hat and some sunglasses, but please do go outside every day. It is the little things like this that will improve your lifestyle. Wherever it is that you live in the world, one thing is for certain, you need the Sun.

Isn’t it just wonderful to find a place in your home that has a sunny spot and take a nap in it like a cat?! Animals and people do this, not just because of the warmth of the sunlight, but because the Sun is actually sending you rays of energy. The Sun is giving you vital life force energy. See how the woman in the card is standing? She is standing in a powerful stance, holding four wands that represent how powerful she is. This is the power of the Sun. We recommend that you take full advantage of it! Like with all things though, we also suggest that you use moderation. When you feel like you have had enough Sun, listen to yourself and seek shelter. Sometimes the Sun is too powerful!

All we ask of you for this week is to go out and get some Sun. It will work magical wonders for you in your life. Don’t make up excuses to not go outside. Get out there and let the Sun charge your batteries.

We love you,

The Faeries
