Card: Two of Wands – from the Circle of Life Tarot by Maria Distefano.
“It is presumptuous to think that certain problems and difficulties are ours alone. Knowing that we share them may serve and consolation.”
Message from the Faeries: Last week the wands appeared, and they are back again this week. Wands are the element of fire, and they represent the alchemical and creative energies. This is very much a time of change and transformation. Right now would be a good time to be doing some sort of creative project.
In the imagery of this card, there are two women with their backs to each other. They are both working with their own separate fires. Imagine what would happen if they were to face each other and share their creative energies. A partnership may not only increase their productivity, it might also allow them to learn and share new ideas. Sometimes it can really pay off to work on important projects with other people. If you don’t want to work with other people, it could also be valuable to ask someone to look at your work and ask for their feedback.
Another aspect of this card is the number 2. There is a duality expressed in this imagery, not only with the two faeries, or the two snails, but also with showing the the contrast of the light and the darkness. As the days are getting shorter there is a movement closer towards more darkness. It’s okay to spend some time exploring your shadow sides if you feel so inclined, just remember to keep it close to the light.
We love you,
Card: Queen of Wands – from the Fairy Lights Tarot by Lucia Mattioli.
“One who enchants all with her beauty and wisdom, shining a light of far-reaching brilliance into the darkest situations.”
Message from the Faeries: This week we would like to introduce you to this very special Faerie Queen. The reason why we think she is so special is because she chooses to live in the darkness and shadows. Despite her great beauty, she has decided to reside in the uglier parts of your earthly realm. Why does she do this? Why would she choose to do such a thing?
She is one of the most brave of the faerie. Her true beauty comes from her strength and her love. You see, she isn’t afraid of the shadows and she isn’t afraid of darkness because she knows at the very core of her being that the only real truth is Love. The shadows and the darkness are illusion created by fear.
This is what we consider to be a true truth: There is only love and light. You create a reality with darkness and shadows because you have allowed fear into your hearts. This is a very human condition, so please don’t be hard on yourself. Instead, be inspired by this brave Faerie Queen. She is one of the original light workers, who long ago chose to be a beacon of love and light in times and places of fear.
Don’t run from your own personal darkness and shadow. Be brave and honest with yourself. When you hide from your shadow, you ignore a part of yourself, which is a part of your creation. The reason you ignore your shadow is because you are afraid. If you looked upon yourself with Love, you would have nothing to be afraid of. You would see yourself in all your splendour and beauty. You might even have a good laugh at yourself. After all, it’s just a shadow.
We love you.
