Faerie Card Reading for the Week of October 16 – 22, 2017

Card: 60 The Pook – from The Faeries’ Oracle by Brian Froud and Jessica Macbeth.

“Our paradoxes and confusions are self-created, and the Pook need only dress them up a bit, add a little sparkle, and dangle them before is in order to induce confusion. In that confusion, we are likely to believe almost anything someone presents to us, just as if we have a metaphorical anchor in reality. His challenge for us is to wake up, to stop projecting our confusions on reality.”

Message from the Faeries: As you movie further into October, the veils between realms is getting thinner and thinner. You may start to notice things around you that you didn’t before. It might be events or situations in your life that you begin to see in a new light.

The Pook can be a tricky fellow. He can cause confusion and make you question reality. He’s hanging around right now to assist you in seeing through the veil. Warning: it might turn your world upside down. There might be a little chaos in your life in the next week or two. This isn’t a bad thing. It just means that your truth and reality will be changing.

Would rather see things for how they really are, or would like to keep up the charade? It’s ultimately up to you at the end of the day, but you might find it difficult to resist the Pook. He can be quite persuasive. It might be worth the adventure to discover your truth, even it means having to change your way of looking at the world. We strongly encourage having an open mind this week. If you resist the truth, it will likely rob you of an opportunity to change, shift or transform.

We love you,

The Faeries

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of July 24 – 30, 2017

Card: 7 Queen of Hearth and Home – from The Heart or Faerie Oracle Cards by Brian and Wendy Froud.

“The Queen of Hearth and Home carries with her the ability to make a home in the moment, in the now, wherever she is. She passes this ability onto you. It is important to ‘be at home’ in any situation, to create a ‘home’ when you invite people in to your space, whether a table in a restaurant, a desk at work, a seat next to you on a bus or plane, or in your own home.”

Message from the Faeries: This week’s reading is related to last week’s reading. Last week we talked about the importance of compassion, and how much the world needs it right now. Now more than ever. Compassion makes the world more hospitable. This faerie queen is here to remind you have of the importance of hospitality.

Hospitality isn’t just about giving people a nice place to sit or sleep, and it isn’t just about offering fresh food and drink. Hospitality is about showing people grace in your space. Your space is whatever is all around you at any given moment. It can be a challenging being gracious with your space when you live in such an unfriendly environment where most people seem so selfish with their space.

How many times of you sat on a bus, only to feel your own space infringed upon by the person sitting next to you who insists on sitting with their legs wide open. We’re certain you can think of countless examples of people being in hospitable. This behaviour is mostly due to a lack of awareness of what they are doing. It’s really not personal they truly just aren’t aware.

See the mask this Queen is wearing? She is slightly lowering it down because she is getting ready to tell someone that they are being inhospitable and she is going to gently remind that they are sharing a space with other people. We encourage you to lead by example this week, and we want to tell you that it’s okay to tactfully and gracefully tell someone if they aren’t reciprocating with the hospitality. Sometimes people just need a little nudge. Chances are they just aren’t paying attention and are not living in the moment like you are.

We love you.

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of May 8 – 14, 2017

Card: 55 The Remembrance – from The Heart or Faerie Oracle by Brian and Wendy Froud.

“Lessons learned, and things achieved are important to remember as you travel along your path. Be aware of what you need to bring with you as you move forward.”

Message from The Faeries: Us faeries are all about living in the now and in the moment. Being present at all times is one of keys to happiness. We realize, however that this is one of your greatest strugles. Most of you seem unable to escape your pasts, and so you must learn the art of remembrance.

When you remember something from the past, instead of being swept up in the memory, maybe you want to try taking a more analytical approach. Try to take on the perspective of the observer and not the participant. Once you step outside of your emotional experience, you can see more of the story unfold.

For example, let’s say you are remembering an argument that you had with someone. Instead of going into all of your hurt or angry feelings, maybe you can begin to see things from the perspective of the other person, or maybe you can start to see how what they were saying wasn’t personal. Taking on an another perspective allows you step out of your emotional attachment to that heated moment that you are carrying around.

We know it’s not realistic for you to forget the past, but you can certainly work on not continually living in the trauma of events that are no longer happening. If you are having a really hard time working through trauma of the past, then you might need the support of a friend or the help of a professional therapist or healer. If you can’t forget the past, then you have to at least learn to let go of it somehow. Don’t keep gripping onto the past. It is not a lifeline, it is more like a heavy chain holding you back.

This week, if you are feeling hindered by your past actions, remember that you don’t have to carry it forward with you. You can always create a new situation for yourself or start fresh at any given moment. Own your past mistakes and move on. Forward and onward!

We love you.

Faerie Card Reading for the Week of February 16th – 22nd, 2015

Card: 28 The Magician – from The Heart of Faerie Oracle by Brian and Wendy Froud.

“Tricks and illusions, the Magician can make us believe anything. Is it real? Probably not. Does she have any real power? Who knows? If you want a bit of magic, a bit of Faerie glamour, she’ll create that illusion for you. She can make you believe that you are the most fascinating and attractive person in the world. She can make the person you are attracted to feel that way about you, too. For a while. Remember, it’s an illusion. When she walks away (and she will), she’ll take that glamour with her, and you’ll be left as you were before she came along. So it’s your choice, take her magic, use it if it helps you, but be ready to take responsibility for yourself and your actions when the glamour wears off. It’s rather like luck. It can get you into an attractive situation, but only your skill and self-reliance can sustain the situation, but only your skill and self reliance can sustain the situation and turn it into something you can depend on it.”

Message from The Faeries: This week we are asking you to keep everything very real. What do we mean by that? Well, that’s a very complicated question. You have a complex “reality”. On one hand, everything is an illusion. On the other hand, your human experience is very much real. This makes your “reality” very vulnerable.

To make it very simple, what we want to say to you is: Do not give away your free-will to anyone. You are regularly tricked into doing this by all kinds of charlatans – politicians, friends, family – people will do anything to get you under their power. Here is the other side of that coin – you are more than willing to give up your power to them. Why? It’s easier to assign blame then to take the blame for what, in the end, is your own actions and decision.

It is so easy to get swept into other people’s reality. This is one of unique things about your world. You are the creator of your own reality, and yet you all are also collectively experiencing it together. You razzle and dazzle each other. You are all like The Magician in this card. Some of you are much better at it than others. You are able to glamour each other and yourself into doing all kinds of things, but often, when it comes time to taking responsibility, you skip on your bill. Some of you call this karma. Karma is when the debt collector shows up on your doorstep and makes you pay up.

It can be really fun to play The Magician, especially for those of you who are really good at it. And perhaps there are times where your loved ones will willingly oblige you to play that part, but the choice is always yours. Do you really need to use glamour to get what you want? Do you really need to use tricks and lies on yourself and others? It’s time to put your tricks away and be your authentic self. Just be honest with yourself and with everyone around you. Make it real and raw. Don’t hide anything. Bare it all. This is the best way to create real magic in your life.

Real magic is when you see things for what they really are and you bask in the glory of it all, because you recognize the perfection and beauty in everything that is – just the way it is.

We love you.
