Faerie Card Reading for the Week of November 28 – December 4, 2016

Card: Seven of Swords – from the Paulina Tarot by Paulina Cassidy.

“The snake design on the man’s cloak signifies deceit. Little does he know that there are witnesses to his theft of the four swords.

Meanings: Theft, sneakiness, betrayal, deceit, back-stabbing, mistrust.”

Message from the Faeries: This coming week may have a challenge or two. This card indicates that you might have some interpersonal problems that you will likely have to deal with. It’s not as grave as the card suggests. It’s not necessarily about betrayal or deceit, but it would do you well to be alert and pay attention.

Whatever happens this week won’t come as a complete surprise to you. You’ve had a niggling thought at the back of your mind. You’ve had a feeling in your guts that something isn’t right with someone. You have had a nagging suspicion. There have been red flags that something is not what it seems to be, or someone isn’t being quite as honest as you would like.

Here is the thing we have noticed: you often ignore these red flags. Sometimes you very willfully forget what your intuition tells you. Why do you do this? The simple answer is that you don’t want to know the truth, and the more complex answer is that you really only want to see the best in people and it can hurt to see the shadow side of human nature.

This willful ignorance is a large part of your suffering. If you paid more attention to the signs and didn’t ignore them you would soon begin to see more things more clearly and you would make better life decisions. When you are denial of the truth, as it is always so plainly laid for you to see, you are actually setting yourself up for greater disappointment.

If you saw the liar for the liar, you wouldn’t be so hurt when they lied to you, you would simply see them for who they are and act accordingly. Instead, you often tell yourself that they didn’t mean to lie this one time, and when they lie to you again you are so hurt because you refused accept who they were the first time around.

The truth will set you free. Try to be more honest with yourself. More importantly, trust yourself and your intuition. Stop ignoring your instincts and intuition. You really do know what’s best for you.  The more honest you are with yourself, you will find that the more honest you are with others. At first it might be a little frightening, but it will also be quite liberating.

We love you.

  1. Erin,
thank you so much for this post. Thank you for all posts. I check them regularly, and I’m amazed about how they precisely fit each situation every time. Thank you so much for doing this. Not sure how I will deal with this insincerity that I’m presented with, though. We’ll see.
    With lots of love,
    Stefan

    • Hi Stefan, I am so glad that you like my posts. It’s encouraging to know people read them. To be honest, I’m not sure how I would deal with an insincere person in my life right now either. I would like to believe that I would see them for who they are, forgive them and move on, but my old pattern is to get upset, hold it in and not say anything. *sigh* Let’s hope we follow our guts and do what’s best for ourselves. Xo Erin

  2. This reading makes me nervous! I’m not sure how I will deal with it or where it will come from… 😦 But being forewarned is being forearmed. Thank you Erin!
